Emma Watson has landed a new role. She will replace Scarlett Johansson in Napoleon and Betsy, a period drama. Emma Watson will play Betsy Balcombe, a young noblewoman trapped on the isolated British Isle of St. Helena who falls in love with Napoleon, who is in exile on the island. Betsy was only 13 when she met Napoleon in the movie so the filmmakers decided to cast a younger actress, Emma Watson instead of Scarlett Johansson.

Emma Watson is completing filming on the sixth installment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. With filming of the last chapter, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, scheduled to commence in early 2009, Watson hopes to shoot Napoleon and Betsy in the fall.

Emma Watson and her movie "Order of the Phoenix" have been nominated for the Constellation awards 2008. The movie nominated in the categories of Best Technical Accomplishment in a 2007 Science Fiction Film or Television Production (for costume) and Emma Watson in Best Female Performance in a 2007 Science Fiction Film, TV Movie, or Mini-Series, respectively.

The awards recognise science fiction and fantasy, both in the cinema and on television, with a particular focus on Canadian productions. The winners will be announced at the upcoming Polaris 22 convention during the weekend of July 11th 2008.
